'I' is a word, just as ‘dog’, or ‘tree’, or ‘fire’, are only words. A word is symbolic. A symbol is not to be confused as BEING that which it’s pointing to. The word 'dog' can’t bark, the word 'tree' can’t grow, and the word ‘fire’ can’t burn. Likewise, the word 'I' can’t talk, think, eat, feel, or do anything at all, it's merely a word. The word ‘I’ may appear in thought strung along with other words, but the word isn’t thinking the thought in which it appears.
There may be a whole story connected with the word ‘I’, in which case it’s serving to represent other words, which are themselves only symbols. Symbols representing symbols, having no foundation, this easily creates a baseless and fabricated story. This word and it’s imagined story is seen by, and even formed of, that which this word is intended to portray, which no word can truly capture or define.
