As the water stirs from amidst the ocean and forms a wave, so does the aware-essence flow from the midst of consciousness, and forms a thought. Just as a wave is an expression of the ocean, so is a thought an expression of consciousness.
The idea of the person you take yourself to be, of being an ‘I’, an individual, is such a thought, an expression arising out of, and made of awareness. But just as the wave is never separate from the ocean, so is the supposed person never separate from the consciousness from which this idea is formed.
All waves are only temporary, and once crashing upon the shores of destiny, will dissolve its form back into the ocean, returning to that from which they were never separate. All thoughts, even the thought of being a person, is temporary, and once crashing upon the shores of understanding, will dissolve its form back into the formless conscious essence, from which it had never been separate.
